Everything You Need To Know About The Pink Out

Did you know that one in eight women will develop breast cancer during her lifetime? Or that over 40,000 women will die from the deadly disease this year alone? Aside from skin cancer, breast cancer is the most common cancer in American women, and every two minutes, a new woman is diagnosed.

It’s officially October and that means it’s breast cancer awareness month. With nearly 4 million survivors among us, GLO is proud to be owned by one: Meko Price. We’re passionate about breast cancer awareness because, for us, it’s personal.

“In 2017, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent 12 rounds of chemo, five surgeries and one year of additional immunotherapy,” explains Meko.

Although difficult, the experience is actually the reason GLO exists at all: “I am now a five-year survivor! Going through breast cancer also made me reevaluate my priorities and leave the corporate world to start my own business…GLO!”

“My purpose is to empower women (and men) to be their most confident. When you look good, you feel good!”

Our roots may not be all sunshine and rainbows, but they did lead us to our wonderful practice now. To pay homage to where we started — no matter how gritty it might be — we’re hosting Pink Out.

Pink Out is our annual event that raises funds and awareness for breast cancer. “As a business owner and survivor, I am passionate about women’s health and being an advocate for your own health.”

Although we may not be an oncology office, we do know that everyone deserves to feel like the best version of who they are, and aesthetics are the perfect way to achieve that.

During the Pink Out event, we’ll be offering up exclusive event-only package pricing, fall specials, and professional demonstrations of our more complicated and intricate treatments.

When you come to this event, you’ll enjoy exclusive specials on services like Hydrafacial, Dermaplaning, Microneedling, filler, and even groundbreaking body sculpting treatments such as Emsculpt!

Bring a friend, a family member, a survivor, and get your glow on for a good cause. A percentage of the profits from the day will go towards breast cancer awareness communities and non-profits.

Support the cause and stop by. We will be providing food and drinks.

If you have any questions, or concerns, or are a small business in the area who’d like to donate or participate, reach out — we’d love to hear from you: (989) 214-4523.
